Judith Kuehne first studied painting under Gerald L Brockhurst RA and subsequently at The University of Michigan at Ann Arbor. For many years, before coming to France, she lived, worked and exhibited in London. Since 1991 her studio and home have been in the Languedoc-Rousillon, in southern France, firstly in Cabrières and then in Bélarga, both small villages near Montpellier.

Portraits, particularly those of children, are very dependent on the encounter between the artist and the subject. Given that I work from my Studio in France, I have developed a technique that has served both myself and my clients well.
